Guide of Good practices

he latest Guide of good practices is an important resource for textile companies, designed to help them reduce their water footprint and enhance their sustainability.

The Guide offers practical information, case studies and action plans directly linked to industry needs. It covers the importance of minimizing water usage and wastewater management. It also highlights simple and big projects as well as successful technologies applied in Europe and internationally.

The Guide acts as a tool to help textile companies develop their own water management plans, giving emphasis to practices that improve environmental compliance, cutting costs and sustainability.

Final conference in Lithuania

On 12 September 2024, at the Business Centre Jasinskio in Vilnius, the Final Conference in Lithuania brought together industry experts and companies from the textile sector and the general public to discuss about the management and reduction of water footprint.

The event was took place in collaboration with LATIA and KTU and focused on sustainable practices in the Lithuanian textile an clothing industries. Presentations started with insights into the latest sustainable solutions adopted by Lithuanian textile companies, followed by the introduction of project ‘REWAFT’. Then, the virtual measuring tool was showcased, along with the seminars that were implemented with HEI students, as well as the MOOC platform and action plans for professionals and companies.

Final TPM in Greece

On September 17, 2024, the Final partners meeting for “REWAFT” project  took place at the University of West Attica in Athens, Greece.

This gathering brought together representatives from partner institutions to review the project’s key outcomes and discuss strategies for continued impact. Hosted by UNIWA, the meeting opened with a warm welcome, followed by in-depth presentations (virtual visits, seminars) on project management and the achievements in each work package.

As the meeting concluded, partners engaged in a comprehensive discussion on sustainability strategies and future initiatives to ensure the “REWAFT” project’s ongoing contribution to sustainable practices in the textile industry.

📣 We are pleased to share that the Rewaft Project was presented at the „SUSTAIN E+ Project Final Event” on 23 February in the city of Valencia📣

The Sustain E+ project, dedicated to fostering sustainable European initiatives🌐, provided an ideal platform to present the project and the results of Rewaft💧

Rewaft aims to raise awareness of the water footprint 👣in the textile sector and to increase the sustainability skills of students and textile companies in relation to the sustainable use of water in textiles🌍

The day was developed with the exploration of several Erasmus+ projects that share a common theme of sustainability 🌱 reinforcing the importance of establishing good practices to implement sustainable projects. It was an engaging experience, highlighting the collective effort towards building a more sustainable future🌿

Praėjusį trečiadienį, spalio 11 d., #Erasmus_Dienų metu UPV-Alcoy studentų miestelyje buvo pristatytas REWAFT projektas.

Pristatyme dalyvavo Universiteto studentai ir darbuotojai. Buvo pristatyti iki šiol projekte gauti rezultatai. Buvopristatyti seminarai, kurie bus rengiami, taip pat sukurta priemonė tekstilės įmonių vandens sąnaudoms apskaičiuoti.

Dalyviams buvo išdalinta Erasmus dienų reklaminė medžiaga.

REWAFT partners met in Alcoy, Spain, to discuss about the project results that have been developed so far. Among the topics explored in the meeting, were: The Progress of the measuring model for water footprint, the Training of HEI students and Capacity Building of companies to reduce their water footprint.
