The final conference in Spain of the REWAFT project was a great success!

On 24 September 2024, at the UPV Alcoy Campus, the Final Conference of the REWAFT Project brought together industry leaders, experts and companies from the textile sector to explore and discuss sustainable solutions aimed at reducing the water footprint.
Organised by the REWAFT Project in collaboration with the Life Anhidra Project, this event focused on presenting the results of the REWAFT Project, showing the water footprint calculation tool developed, the specialised seminars and the MOOC designed to help students and professionals in the textile industry to improve water consumption management.
In addition, there was the participation of managers and technicians from national and European sustainability projects, covering water reuse and circular economy initiatives. These inspiring presentations highlighted ongoing sustainability efforts and provided valuable insights into cutting-edge innovations.
ATEVAL (Asociación de Empresarios Textiles de la Comunidad Valenciana) also spoke, sharing exciting new projects that present significant opportunities for textile companies looking to adopt sustainable practices.
The companies Aquaclean Group and CareApplications®, who have collaborated with the Rewaft Project since the beginning, shared their experiences and discussed best practices for water management in the textile sector, offering practical ideas to overcome the challenges of the industry.
Our sincere thanks to the Life Anhidra Project for their collaboration, to all the speakers for their presentations, and to the attendees – both in person and online – for their participation and commitment to a greener and more sustainable textile industry.
